Spreading the Message of Christ’s Love In Albuquerque

Our Ministry Process

The Spiritual Community of St. Mary Magdalene celebrates the sacred teachings of the Liturgy, passed on from the early Church, generations ago. We take a modern approach while maintaining the practice of ancient belief systems. We affirm you, respect you, and welcome you with open arms. There is no judgment or oppression in our ministry space.

We are still in the process of building our community and mission. We are looking to create a collaborative approach as we continue to grow. Our goal is to create a safe environment for everyone to have a voice. Instead of providing a traditional homily or sermon, we invite every individual to offer feedback or comments on the readings. We love hearing what the scripture means to you, your life, and your journey with Christ. We hope that everyone feels comfortable sharing their aspirations, lives, and goals as we come together as a spiritual family. Collectively we can grow closer to Christ and ourselves through the ongoing process of religious ascendance. We need you with us on this journey!

Our Affiliation, Traditions, and Values

Many people raised in a Catholic, Anglican, or Christian church can experience unnecessary division and judgment, tarnishing their relationship with specific religious sectors. We strive to create a comfortable environment for everyone by eradicating oppression and negative experiences. We are not here to judge you but to uplift you on your journey.

We are a Catholic/Anglican church through the lineage of our Apostolic Succession. We are not affiliated with Rome or Canterbury; we are a member of the Apostolic Sacramental Church. This affords us the freedom to embrace all people, regardless of differences, mistakes, decisions, or beliefs. Some churches divide humanity and generalize behaviors that they deem “sinful.” That is not what we are about here at the Spiritual Community of St. Mary Magdalene. We believe everyone is a unique creation of the divine. We welcome you to come to join us as your authentic self, free of shame or worry. We include LGBTQ+ and minority communities. YOU are loved and celebrated here. We would love you to join the family.
